Coming to the McCarthy Gallery in July:
a retrospective exhibition by artist Deanna Boucher
Tuesday, July 8th from 7-9pm at the McCarthy Gallery
"Looking Back" is a retrospective exhibition of Deanna's figurative, landscape, floral and visual puns in dechirage, acrylic and other media.
Born in Winnipeg, and after having lived in many parts of Canada, Deanna now
resides in the Truro area. Upon receiving her B.F.A. from the University of Alberta,
Deanna both taught art and participated in many exhibitions. Several permanent
collections now house her art including Truro’s Town Hall, the Municipal Building
and the Colchester East Hants library
The exhibit will run until August 27th.

Across The Surface
Featuring Joy Laking, Tom Forestall, Ed Huner, Gordon MacDonald, Steven Rhude, Shelly Mitchell, Susan Patterson and Paul Hannon
Friday, September 5th from 6-8pm at the McCarthy Gallery
These eight artists who make up PLANS (Professional Living Artists of Nova Scotia) are having an exhibit of their own work at the Nova Scotia Community College's
McCarthy Gallery in Truro.
The exhibit, entitled "Across the Surface" will open with a reception on Thursday, September 4th from 6pm to 8pm and will continue until September 25th. These artists have come together
to advance realism by showing people the exciting work that is being produced in Nova Scotia.
